Limited Scope = Limited Potential Broad Scope = GREAT Potential – Part 2

As you can see from our last visit, I can really get on my soapbox when it comes to my passion of chiropractic but I can’t help it. My own wife was saved from a serious hyperthyroid condition due to chiropractic and nutrition care. I wouldn’t have her right now if it wasn’t for chiropractic. For that matter I wouldn’t have my baby girl because Mikayla came along after my wife’s recovery. I myself have seen serious issues with my heart rate and prostate completely reversed through chiropractic and nutritional care. The facts are that chiropractors have lost some of their identity and in doing so have limited their playing field compared to their predecessors.
The chiropractors of today may fight some of the same old issues that they were fighting 50 years ago but now you face a new issue of surviving in a world of growing pressures with a limited scope of treatment. Essentially what I am saying is that if you could find your real identity as a chiropractor like those that have come before you then your business prospects would greatly increase because you would offer much more to your communities as a whole.
This limited scope is one of the many causes of why so many chiropractors struggle today. It is certainly not the only one but it is a MAJOR factor. If you don’t know how to broaden your scope of prospective business and scope of treatment then find out who does know how and then follow their lead. As for us at AMC, we will continue to stand strong on the real foundations that make chiropractic the greatest profession in the world.
One last point to make for those out there that are concerned about the new insurance era that seems to be unfolding, well our stand is the same that it has been for the last 30 years. As my father Dr. Owen has always said–“we got along fine without you before—we will get along fine without you now” Chiropractic will always stand because it is truth. “ignorance may derive it – malice may attack it– but in the end the TRUTH will always stand”. However as Dr. BJ Palmer said—“that once a chiropractor gets off of truth then ANYTHING is possible” Isn’t that what we are seeing abroad in our profession especially in the factors that we covered today?
